eLEARNING

Western utilizes synchronous learning days and eLearning days in repsonse to inclument weather and for staff professional development.

eLearning

eLearning Days are scheduled ahead of time and use pre-loaded instructional vidoes and assignments for students to complete independently via our Learning Management System (LMS) and Google Classroom. eLearning days are limited to just three days per school year. Western uses these three dates to deliver professional development to our staff.

Synchronous Learning

Sync Learning Days are used when students are unable to come to school safely due to inclument weather. These days follow a similar schedule to a normal day when students are on campus. Teachers hold live virtual lessons via Google Meet to instruct students in real time. The students then have a small assignment to complete.
