Western High School Earns Four Star Rating 2016-2017

Western High School was awared a Four Star Rating for the 2016-2017 school year on Friday, Feb 23 rd 2018 by the Indiana Department of Education.

Criteria to be on the list of Four Star School:
  • A school must have received an “A” for the 2016-2017 school year.
  • A school must have tested at least 95% of students on ISTEP English/Language Arts and Math.
  • Grade 3-8 & Grade 10 combined ISTEP Pass Percentage (Pass Percentage of English/Language Arts ISTEP + Pass Percentage of Math ISTEP) must be in Top 25th Percentile for each grade tested. (minimum of 10 students).
  • Grade 3-8 & Grade 10 Percent Passing Both ISTEP (Percent of students who passed both the English/Language Arts ISTEP + Math ISTEP) must be in the Top 25th Percentile. (minimum of 10 students).

Fieldhouse Spring Break Hours

Monday, March 26th            5:00-7:00 a.m.6:00-9:00 p.m.

Tuesday, March 27th            5:00-7:00 a.m.,  6:00-9:00 p.m.

Wednesday, March 28th       5:00-7:00 a.m..  6:00-9:00 p.m.

Thursday, March 29th          5:00-7:00 a.m.6:00-9:00 p.m.

Friday, March 30th              5:00-7:00 a.m.

Saturday, March 31st           12:00-4:00 p.m.

*Normal schedule will resume on April 2nd

We are also seeking an Aerobics/Fitness Instructor for morning Fitness/Bootcamp classes held on Monday & Wednesday mornings.  If you are interested, please complete an application at

As a reminder, students in the Multi-Purpose Facility must be supervised by their respective coaches or parent at all times.  Also, no pop, sports drinks, or food is allowed in the Multi-Purpose Facility and/or weight room (water bottles only).

Looking for an updated window sticker for you vehicle?
Western Athletic Department has new window stickers with the new Logo (Below).  
These may be purchased in the Athletic office located in the High School.

The Multi-Purpose Facility hours will be Monday-Thursday 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Saturday (24th and 31st) from 12:00-4:00 p.m..
