Kindergarten Bus Safety

Mark Robertson, our school's bus trainer, led the students in how to sit properly on the bus

Instruction in Kindergarten Bus Safety was held on Tuesday, August 13th at Western Primary School. All Kindergarten students attended the session before they rode the bus for the first time to school on Wednesday. Mark Robertson, school's bus trainer, led the students in how to sit properly on the bus ("bottom to bottom, back to back, feet on the floor if they fit"), how to safely load the bus, how to utilize various exits on the bus in case of emergency, and what sounds and lights they will see on the bus. Overall, it was an opportunity to ensure that all students felt comfortable and safe riding the bus for the very first time!
